- similar to [[git-rerere]]. but i don't want to be actively using it
  - so more like creating a branch w/ how far you got, and then
    - maybe diffing it w/ the real branch. though, here you'd get all your diffs into 1.
      - maybe could instead separate out how it went originally -- probably multiple approaches
