been playing w/ a proper block string -> AST parser. still got bugs & edges to iron out, but it's getting exciting :smile: before & after:
-

-

-
-
{{[[TODO]]}} hmm, now that i look at it, it'd be so much nicer if the metadata in the top wasn't taking up as much space & the actual content started earlier.
-
{{[[TODO]]}} can also add info to parser to recognize block references, italics, bolds, highlights, since all pretty much the same as linked reference `[[(hidden) G97ohL3l8]]`

{{[[TODO]]}} when committing in `notes` (public), add info of what version & commit of [[roam-traverse-graph]] was used

had another mess up when taking notes on this.
-
tried adding the patch into [[roam]]. uploading file (using `git format-patch commit~..commit`) worked just fine, but then for some reason wanted to add the file contents directly as well, w/o realizing it contains the whole flipping graph's worth of diffs...
-
so then ofc [[roam]] hangs, or rather - cannot sync local changes to remote. i realize how big the contents actually are and no longer want them here directly, so undo the transaction, but idk if it's not too late.
-
so now, since it failed to sync to remote, i want to get rid of the cache so that the changes no longer exist in the first place.
-
[[(hidden) gZLAP46u2]] + [[roam]] saves local cache in
-
```javascript ~/.config/roam-nativefier-XXXXXX/Cache/XXXXXXXXXXXXXXX```
-
e.g.
-
```javascript $ grep -Hr 'roam-traverse-graph' grep: Cache/20996c634c56818a_0: binary file matches grep: Cache/9751481f40823829_0: binary file matches grep: grep: input file is also the output grep: IndexedDB/https_roamresearch.com_0.indexeddb.blob/a/00/19: binary file matches grep: IndexedDB/https_roamresearch.com_0.indexeddb.blob/2/00/83: binary file matches grep: IndexedDB/https_roamresearch.com_0.indexeddb.leveldb/000281.log: binary file matches grep: IndexedDB/https_roamresearch.com_0.indexeddb.leveldb/000246.ldb: binary file matches grep: IndexedDB/https_roamresearch.com_0.indexeddb.leveldb/000224.ldb: binary file matches ```

looks like nuking the directory will work -- [[roam]] asks me to login now.
-
-
otherwise, had 1 more screw-up -- since i added notes when debugging this (e.g. faulty commits), but the notes didn't sync either, i tried copy-pasting them into a browser window of [[roam]].
-
__but__, content inside code blocks (esp. inline ones, might've been some loss on the full ones as well) were empty, so wasn't happy, thus undid the paste, and tried doing it again, but then somehow roam synced from browser into local nativefier app & removed the notes, so now they were nowhere to be found, __and__ my clipboard got emptied, so i was screwed w/o a way to get the notes back.
-
this is why i wanted to try & look for the cache directory initially - to try to recover the notes, but wasn't successful.
-
but that's less important since i still have the faulty commits & documented them here now; as long as the big patch that i uploaded doesn't go thru (thus prolly slowing down my graph quite a bit), everything should be just fine.
-
fuck, hotkeys got lost.
-
{{[[TODO]]}} #[[(hidden) D1lY0CG5e]] [[roam]] store hotkeys more universally, allow manipulating per [[(hidden) pEVsXyK9F]] or some other medium, maybe put them in the graph itself even as data (like a page that exports json / js / edn that you can easily modify) instead of keeping them in the browser's cache
-
-
-
-
{{[[TODO]]}} some sort of confirmation prompt of new pages that you made public, before actually allowing to generate the export? if new - doesn't matter as much if at all, but if already existing in multiple places, and additionally - if looks like a person's name -- would definitely help
