        sometimes want to re-order commits, and it'd cause conflicts, and would be annoying to take parts from later commit to earlier and then also adjust the later commit afterwards.
        
        instead, can see what's related to what, know in advance that conflicts will occur (can even dry w/ git to confirm conflicts will occur), and can allow the user to pick & choose more easily, because has good bird's-eye view of both deps & how they change when going thru commits

        actually very doable & useful -- just did this & there were the 2 commits where changes needed to be split apart between one and another and in-between, and in each commit, the operations for that commit's code were the same!
        
        i.e. same stuff f(x) do to in commit A, same stuff g(x) to do in commit B. f != g
        
        almost feels like g is inverse of f, i.e. some things you did to take into earlier commit, now you need to undo in the later commit, while partially patching to make work fully
        
        thus, feels like there are some finite ways to manipulate this (i.e. shape rotations) & thus could be automatable! cc [[(hidden) CMpZyaJyE]] [[(hidden) CwCUfjRWa]]
        
        [[git-diff3c]] was already helpful here, but it's only a small part of what how much you could automate!
